Jaeger-LeCoultre awarded three prizes to celebrate the work of the three best horse breeders at a dinner organised by the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses (WBFSH) and attended by its patron, HRH the Princess Benedikt of Denmark, and president, Jan Pedersen. This award follows the international competitions that took place in the various countries of the horse breeders during the course of the year in three disciplines: dressage, jumping and eventing.

Dutch dressage breeders Maartje & Joop Hanse; French breeder Agnès Grosz, represented by her son Paul Grosz, for jumping and Spanish breeder Ramon Beca, represented by his daugthers Maria Beca Trias and Frida Beca, for eventing were all presented with three Reverso Replica Omega Watches personalised with an engraving in recognition of their work.

In eventing the Spanish bred horse Nereo (CDE) has topped the rankings with his rider Andrew Nicholson, New Zealand. Like most horses belonging to Andrew Nicholson, Nereo was born in 2000, comes from the Spanish stud farm B.T.4/Casa de Neves owned by Ramon Beca – a former eventing rider himself. Between competitions, Ramon Beca left his horse with Andrew Nicholson to be schooled, which is how the friendship between the two riders was born.

For the next two years, Jaeger-LeCoultre will be partnering the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses, the only international federation of studbooks for sport horses in the world, by supporting the Federation’s rankings that highlight the work of Breeders around the world.

Every month the WBFSH/FEI ranking of each discipline (dressage, jumping and eventing) is published on the federation’s website, which also provides official information on horses competing at international level all around the world, along with their pedigrees and their studbooks.
